What are CETLs? |
A Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning CETLs are part of a Government initiative to reward and further develop excellent learning and teaching in UK Higher Education. Building on existing excellent practice in the School of Languages and Literature at the University of Ulster, the core aim of this CETL is to improve student learning through the use and development of appropriate teaching methods and the provision of suitable learning resources using multimedia learning technology. Funded by the Department of Employment and Learning Northern Ireland (DELNI) as part of the Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) NI initiative, there are seven CETLs in Northern Ireland, including two CETLs in the University of Ulster: For further information about the 74 CETLs funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for England, visit the HEFCE website.
